FACTS TO ACT - A day for thinkers and doers
Privacy Salon Panel announcement with the Hannah Arendt Instituut
About the Festival:
During the Facts to Act festival, the organisers zoom in together with experts and experienced experts on some fascinating, sometimes complex social issues. All themes that the Hannah Arendt Institute works on are discussed: from citizenship, democracy and polarization, to urbanity and diversity.
Bridge between science and practice: Bridging the gap between science and practice. That is what the Hannah Arendt Institute does. During our Facts to Act festival we bring scientists, policy makers, professionals and citizens together around the table. We express various opinions, but focus on facts and actions. Our ultimate goal? Practical solutions for social challenges.

The Privacy Salon Panel discussion:
Topic: Smart cities - The data-driven city
When: Saturday 20th April
About:
Since the beginning of this century, a major urban revolution has been taking place, that of the so-called smart cities : cities and municipalities that are data-driven, based on connectivity through information and communication technologies and made possible by both public institutions and governments, as well as private, profit-seeking companies . The purpose of these smart cities? Improve our (natural) environments and quality of life, but also increase efficiency and save budget.
